Pocket Pugs
Welcome
Welcome to the new Pocket Pugs web site. It is still under construction
but you will see it is full of changes to showcase my passion for the
wonderful little creatures we cannot seem to live without...Pugs!

In the coming weeks and months this site will grow to include all of my dogs
and those whom I still have ties to, both in and out of the show ring. So, be
patient. This is a work in progress and will always be in a state of growth
and change.

Thanks for stopping by and please, explore the links to my boys and girls
and their accomplishments in the upper left hand column.

SPECIAL NOTICE
Below is an open letter to the AKC regarding my recent discovery of others
misappropriating my kennel name, “Pocket Pugs”. I would like to assure
visitors to my web site that this site represents the original, one and only
Pocket Pugs!

To whom it may concern (at AKC):

I recently received an email from a person who stated that someone was
using my kennel name. I have “Pocket Pugs” registered with the AKC for
many years and now it seems that several people are using my kennel
name. Additionally, I also received a call from a person who said that she
has registered her dog with “Pocket” in the AKC name.  This person claims
that she has registered two pugs with “Pocket” in their names.

In examining their website site it appears these are backyard breeders and
mass produce puppies solely for profit. I, on the other hand, breed two
litters (if I'm lucky), a year. I only breed to show pugs in the conformation
ring.  I have titled many dogs in the past, have received a junior world title
on one of my dogs, and won the pug nationals in 2001. I have won pug
specialties, won winners dog, and bitch, at our pug nationals, and my sire
has produced, I believe, the only brothers to have won WD at the regional
and nationals on the same week.  My dog also sired WD the previous
year.  So you can see my breeding program is very important to me, and
that is why I registered my kennel name.

How do I find out who has been using the names without my consent?

Thank you.
